About DAMsmart

Our story

We want to make sure everyone can save or use their content, whether digital or physical, so no story is ever lost. Founded in 2007, DAMsmart set out to change how audiovisual collections were preserved. Instead of slow, one-to-one transfers, we pioneered scalable, conservation-led digitisation that delivered quality at scale.

This approach allowed us to safeguard fragile carriers while making preservation accessible to more organisations.

Digitisation was where we began, but today our role extends into the digital age, helping organisations protect, enrich, and use their digital collections with smart, purpose-built services.
